Counting Down - Four More Days

Four days? Ohhh my, it IS four days now!

This has been a chore day for me, and Michelle should have gotten a bone scan in today, but I have not had a chance to catch up with her (looks at the clock) and it won’t happen tonight. We will have to see what tomorrow has in store for us. The one thing I am sure of is that we are one day closer to the tires hitting the pavement in a northerly direction.

Five Days and Counting!

Michelle and I are both tired from trying to get everything ready in order to leave. It’s all good! We will have gone over our lists at least twelve times each, (yeah, okay, my list, grinZ) before Tuesday, and it will likely not matter much once we are actually on the road. I am excited to see the countryside with my longtime friend, and this time I will be armed with a camera that I don’t have to process film for to get pictures. Ohhh yeah! (You do know what I am talking about right? Film, like in the cameras before digital.) I started out with a Brownie in 1970, and that certainly did not have digital quality options. Things can change pretty quickly.
Can you name something that developed during your lifetime that was impactful?

Ohhhhh and guess what? Only five more days before Michelle gets on that plane and our trip is officially started! I feel like a kid gearing up for a trip to their favorite place on earth.

Six days (this is going pretty fast!)

Michelle went to her doctor’s appointment today and they let her take the pills for the bone cancer! She said that the calcium was a little bit low for her, but not so low that she couldn’t do the treatment. This is good news, as it will help her body fight. Michelle said that the drug moves like Pac Man to eat the cancer in the bones.I am not sure how it works, but she is going to tell me the name of it soon, then I can take a peek online at the characteristics of the drug and its interactions, but for now, it is enough to say that’s a step in a positive direction.

Here's what Michelle had to say about it:
ok..so i went for my shot and my calcium was just barely too low for my bone cancer shot but my cancer Dr. let me have my shot anyways..:) and had my port cleaned out! On friday I am getting my bone scan done and then an x-ray on my right arm, then my doctor will let me know the results right after she gets the results and finally i have stuff for the pain! so i will let everyone know more when i find out more! :) Have a great night all!

Last day in Central Oregon

Time is a strange thing. It moves fast when we want to slow down, it moves too slow when we want to hurry through something, and it set...
